The Zika cruise! I remember! :-)Desert wrote: Reub is probably on a cruise in some exotic locale, so I'll try to fill in here.
Awful.Iran's religion of peace is on display, thanks to our Dear Leader unfreezing their funds so they can offer up a $600K reward for the death of Salman Rushdie.

.40 S&W. Then get the Lonewolf conversion barrel so you can also shoot 9mm out of the same gun. You do have a Glock, right?ochotona wrote: Should I get the 9 mm or the .40 S&W?

Yeah too many calibers gets crazy. KISS. 9mm, .308, and 12 gauge seems like a good basic assortment to me.

I'd probably choose one or the other, and in the abstract, .308 gets the win in my book due to versatility for long-range hunting, and you can still shoot it out of semi-auto rifles with good handling. If money is tighter and there's no hunting (or you can do it with the shotgun), then .223 might be better.

What is the matter with you guys? You really only need the first one.
Colt 1911, 45 ACP, Federal Premium Hydra-Shok. Over 100 years of proven success.
Remington 1100, 12 gauge, alternating slug and 00 buck. Need to say no more.
Ruger 77, 6mm Remington, 70 gr Sierra MatchKing ahead of 38gr IMR4895, 5/16" 5 shot groups at 100 yards for longer range duty.
Thompson Center Hawken flintlock, 50 cal round or 320 or 370 gr Maxi-ball, 70 to 110 gr FF. In case times get really tough.
The other toys you are tinkering with are just for fun. Of course, I'd be glad to take any or all off your hands.

I'm a traditionalist. .30-06.

Somewhere, there's an Iranian ex-pat looking at this thread title and laughing that we're discussing caliber.

That wasn't me, dualstow. Lol! I did just get back from a cruise that took us to Bonaire, Curacao, Cartagena, Panama Canal, and Costa Rica though. It had the norovirus on it too. Had a great time.dualstow wrote: Reub, are you back?
