Dems booed off stage for saying All Lives Matter
Omalley and Sanders stated at some left wing function that all lives matter and were heckled and booed for it. What a radical idea. What were they thinking?

It's a crazy country we're living in.
On the radio they said it was Clinton, not Sanders.

Re: Dems booed off stage for saying All Lives Matter
You don't understand the implicit messages.
"Black lives matter" is just the first part of the message. The complete message really is "Black lives matter, even though they have not been valued previously".
When white people say, "All lives matter", non-white people hear the un-doing of the complete implicit idea, which unwinds and brings them back to "black lives are not valued".
They don't hear an inclusive idea, which is possibly what white liberals intend. But I don't know, I'm not a white liberal.

NO
Was Dr. Martin Luther King a havoc wreaker? People often got hurt and some died related to marches and events he was involved in.

One could say MLK wreaked havok among his oppressors.ochotona wrote:

Am I an oppressor just by believing that black lives have been valued just as much as white lives?

Yes. Better not say it at left wing rallies or at colleges.

Would they engage in civil disobedience in defiance of my oppressive mind?

Re: Dems booed off stage for saying All Lives Matter
Here's a better way to understand what's going on:
"All lives matter" is a generic statement which theoretically has been an implicit part of any decent human society since time immemorial. But, it has not been a part of American civilization in law or fact since it's onset, at least until Emancipation. Can we agree at that?
Black people have therefore understood "All lives matter" to mean "All white lives matter" because they have been historically discounted in fact. This is not a conspiracy theory. This is what has happened to them.
"Black lives matter" was and is an attempt to amend "All lives matter" to read "All lives matter, and black ones, too".
When black people don't hear whites confirm this effort on their part, they assume that whites are trying to rollback to "All lives matter, except for black ones". Which might not be intended by white libs, but that's what black people hear.
FYI, I am neither white nor black.

But the u.s. treated a lot of people that were non-white poorly, just all at different degrees. Don't Hispanics lives matter? Or Asian lives matter? Or native american lives matter? They've been oppressed to certain degrees as well.

Don't forget the Irish. Their lives matter, too:
"Bill: I don't see no Americans. I see trespassers, Irish harps. Do a job for a nickel what a nigger does for a dime and a white man used to get a quarter for. What have they done? Name one thing they've contributed."

Re: Dems booed off stage for saying All Lives Matter
Here is a good solution for the Dems to chew upon. Hilarious!
... M
"Offensive" Team Names: PRICELESS
I think all sports fans will get a kick out of this letter written to the Chicago Tribune....
No matter which side you are on in the matter of renaming the Washington Redskins, this is funny.
Here is an e-mail sent to Clarence Page of the Chicago Tribune after an article he published concerning a name change for the Washington Redskins.
Dear Mr. Page: I agree with our Native American population. I am highly insulted by the racially charged name of the Washington Redskins. One might argue that to name a professional football team after Native Americans would exalt them as fine warriors, but nay, nay. We must be careful not to offend, and in the spirit of political correctness and courtesy, we must move forward.
Let's ditch the Kansas City Chiefs, the Atlanta Braves and the Cleveland Indians. If your shorts are in a wad because of the reference the name Redskins makes to skin color, then we need to get rid of the Cleveland Browns.
The Carolina Panthers obviously were named to keep the memory of militant Blacks from the 60's alive. Gone. It's offensive to us white folk.
The New York Yankees offend the Southern population. Do you see a team named for the Confederacy? No! There is no room for any reference to that tragic war that cost this country so many young men's lives.
I am also offended by the blatant references to the Catholic religion among our sports team names. Totally inappropriate to have the New Orleans Saints, the Los Angeles Angels or the San Diego Padres.
Then there are the team names that glorify criminals who raped and pillaged. We are talking about the horrible Oakland Raiders, the Minnesota Vikings, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Pittsburgh Pirates!
Now, let us address those teams that clearly send the wrong message to our children. The San Diego Chargers promote irresponsible fighting or even spending habits. Wrong message to our children.
The New York Giants and the San Francisco Giants promote obesity, a growing childhood epidemic. Wrong message to our children.
The Cincinnati Reds promote downers/barbiturates. Wrong message to our children.
The Milwaukee Brewers. Well that goes without saying. Wrong message to our children.
So, there you go. We need to support any legislation that comes out to rectify this travesty, because the government will likely become involved with this issue, as they should. Just the kind of thing the do-nothing Congress loves..
As a die hard Oregon State fan, my wife and I, with all of this in mind, suggest it might also make some sense to change the name of the Oregon State women's athletic teams to something other than "the Beavers (especially when they play Southern California . Do we really want the Trojans sticking it to the Beavers???)
I always love your articles and I generally agree with them. As for the Redskins name I would suggest they change the name to the “Foreskins” to better represent their community, paying tribute to the dick heads in Congress.

Memphis police chief says "All lives matter" after a white cop is shot in the face repeatedly and killed by a black driver in possession of drugs. Is he wrong?
Why don't the Obamas and Sharptons foment civil unrest over this? Did the cop deserve it?

I don't know if the cop deserved it. Did he? Most cops are jack booted, Type A pigs. But wait, "all lives matter" and no one ever deserves to die. So no he didn't.
