Torture is notorious for producing duff misinformation. This claims that a phony pretext for the Iraq war was the intentional result of the torture program. It was a way of getting mis-intelligence so as to mislead  policy makers:

It's official.  Cheney has officially lost his marbles!  I think he needs to be committed and evaluated for psychiatric illness.  He's likely had yet another stroke.

But, I thought that the false intelligence for the Iraq War was stovepiped to the Bush administration by exile Chalabi?
