Another question for you guys...
My LTT's are almost all 11/15/43 issues. (^TYX) shows the 30-year bond went down 1.89% yesterday. Fidelity shows my bonds only went up .55%. I realize that these numbers are not supposed to match but this much of a discrepancy surprised me. Anyone have an explanation for this? Illiquidity in that particular issue for some reason? Bad math at Fidelity? Mental shortcomings on my end that I should attend to? Thanks.

Re: Another Long Bond Question
I think Murphy had a question like this earlier. Instead of ^TYX, it was about how one bond surprisingly performed better than another. As for answers, well, I don't remember.

Dualstow,
I thought you were riding to my rescue but instead you are doing an imitation of Reagan at the Iran-Contra hearings!
Chief Inquisitor: Can you tell us why Barrett's long bonds are not tracking the indices?
Reagan: Well he could have just bought the wrong bonds but I really don't remember.
Aaaaaahh!

lol. We both have poor memories and both like to say 'Well' a lot.
Well, just for you I will search for the thread. Better than going back to packing up boxes for our impending move.

Re: Another Long Bond Question
ha! What belongings? All that's left is in storage and it feels great to be free of it. I wish I had the willpower to get rid of it when it comes back but I know it's going to end up in the basement with the cave crickets.barrett wrote: "Honey the renovations are done.
