By total coincidence, I just read the same article before coming here.  Pretty fascinating stuff, I love stories like these.  The guys should have taken a far less aggressive PP-ish approach!

I find it fascinating that Mr Kane was both a successful businessman and a successful musician (still is, I guess). But, an addiction is an addiction. Would have been pretty cool if these guys had been less greedy and just quietly pocketed a few jackpots. But then, there'd be no story, and gyro forum readers would not see how the government stepped in with hacking charges even when no hacking had been comitted.

Note that that the article's author is infamous phone hacker Kevin Poulsen. I read a great book about him called 'The Watchman' many years ago.
