I have tried to start a movement to make his common nickname "Dick Holder".
I guess I've failed...  :P

I guess that he can continue his racist and illegal acts as a private citizen while Obama rushes in his successor before he loses the Senate.

Listen!  I think I hear the Hallelujah chorus playing in the background.  Three cheers for Handel.  :) 8)

Until he is replaced by Bill Ayers or Valerie Jarrett ;-)

I am going to guess that the hyperbole in the title is based on a poor grasp of history. That said, I won't miss Holder. He was a very poor AG.

interesting timing.....anyone watch TV?

Episode 1 of TV show Scandal was last night.  In it a republican president appoints a democratic attourney general.  That attourney general wants to clean things up and is one of the few characters on the show who does not break the law regularly.  So we have how democrats think of themselves and the reality (Holder).

my memory of AGs in my life time is weak and historically even less.. who do you have in mind? i don't doubt there were some who are comparable but holder seems to be setting a pretty high bar for allowing unconstitutional actions and participating in corruption..
Off the top of my head... John Ashcroft, John Mitchell, Harry Daugherty and George Williams.
Simonjester wrote: John Ashcroft (patriot act) yep, John Mitchell (Nixon era) OK, Harry Daugherty (Teapot Dome era ) also bad...
i suppose my recency bias influences my perception of holders being "the worst" but he definitely has some company in the bad AG category...

It's not complete hyperbole. He is after all the only cabinet member ever to be held in contempt of Congress (see his wiki page).
Ok, ok, maybe being in contempt of Congress is the one good thing about him.

It's not my joke, but there was once talk of him running on the same ticket with Anthony Wiener.

I would not be surprised if he were indicted,  convicted, and pardoned over the next two years.
