Hi all,
I'm going to buy my first kayak and wondered if anyone has any recommendations? From my research I'm leaning toward the Wilderness Ride 115 model. I like its ability to stand up in it. Primary use will be in the Tampa Bay ocean water for recreation and fishing.
Thanks.

I have an Advanced Elements 2-person inflatable kayak, which I like quite a bit. If you want stability, an inflatable is hard to beat. My 13-year old son likes to stand up in the front and paddle, and we've never tipped over. Other advantages of an inflatable are that it takes up much less storage space, and you don't need a cartop carrier. I usually have it pumped up and ready to go by the time my friends have their rigid kayaks off the top of the car. It has three layers of material, and I doubt it will ever leak, but if it did, there are two separate air bladder compartments. The main disadvantage I think is that the seats are not quite as comfortable as on a rigid kayak. Also, it might be a tad slower, but not much.
