Re: PP Europe (Germany)
During 2015 and 2016 the 30-year German bund yield went to 0.5% and even below. The current yield is 0.88%, so yes, the yield can still go down and the bund up. If at 1% you are skipping long bonds, when are you going to buy them? When the yield is at 1.5%? At 2%? At 3%? Maybe then you will think th...

Re: PP Europe (Germany)
I think that for bonds the closest you can get to a PP in euros is to buy the longest German bond available, which currently is the one that expires at 2048 and ISIN DE0001102432 (current yield 0.90%). Remember that you get the long bonds not for the yield but for the deflation protection. If you pr...

Re: How does the PP respond to a devaluing currency
If there is inflation also in the US then gold will work as expected. In case of an euro-only inflation we can get some protection by holding international stocks. So a possible allocation is: - 12.5% eurozone stocks - 12.5% global stocks - 25% gold - 25% cash in euros - 25% 30-year german bund (the...

I have not received the notification of your last reply after unchecking "Someone replies to a topic to which you are subscribed".
I have found some info here: https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... &t=2111838

Re: How to subscribe to new topics (and not to replies)?
Thanks, I have done that, let see how it goes. My doubt is if, after unchecking "Someone replies to a topic to which you are subscribed", I will continue receiving the replies to the topic to which I am subscribed.
I am subscribed to this topic so if you reply to this we will find out soon.

Re: How to subscribe to new topics (and not to replies)?
Feedly has a feature that could be used to remove unwanted forum topics. It is called Mute Filters but it is only available to paying customers which is not my case.

Re: How to subscribe to new topics (and not to replies)?
Thanks, I use Feedly so an RSS feed would be an option, but unfortunately the feed that you linked includes topics from all the forums, not just the "Permanent Portfolio Discussion" forum. I tried to get (or build) a URL to include topics restricted to 1 forum but I couldn't find it.

How to subscribe to new topics (and not to replies)?
Hi. I would like to subscribe to receive an email every time a new topic is posted in the Permanent Portfolio Discussion forum. Then, if I find the topic interesting I would click on the "Subscribe" link in the topic to receive the replies. This is how I would expect it to work. But the problem is t...

Re: Starting EU PP, doubts about the bonds part
What happens to this allocation if the euro appreciates for example a 20% to the level where it was just 3 years ago? 3 of the 4 assets have currency exchange risk in this portfolio.
