Ticker symbol for gold?

I've googled it, can't seem to get something that works in Yahoo Finance on my phone.
XAU doesn't work.
XAUUSD=X looked like it was going to work, but the price never changes from $1301.xx.
Anyone know?

In Yahoo Finance GC=F works

On my lookup it was labeled as June 19 future price, but maybe it's a current price. Either way it should be good for my needs.
