It is curious though, that his approval rating is extremely low in spite of how well the economy is doing....
Yup. Must have something to do with the fact that he's a creep and a child, gets caught up in personal spats and vendettas, seems more interested in defending his self-image than running the country -- in a 'methinks thou dost protest too much' kind of way -- is ignorant of geography, is not going to get the wall built, and so on.

Exactly.
There could be a picture of him here:

Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a personality disorder in which there is a long-term pattern of abnormal behavior characterized by
exaggerated feelings of self-importance, an excessive need for admiration, and a lack of understanding of others' feelings.[2][3] People affected by it often spend a lot of time thinking about achieving power or success, or about their appearance.[3] They often take advantage of the people around them.[3] The behavior typically begins by early adulthood, and occurs across a variety of situations.[3]
The cause of narcissistic personality disorder is unknown.[4] It is a personality disorder classified within cluster B by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.[3] Diagnosis is by a healthcare professional interviewing the person in question.[2] The condition needs to be differentiated from mania and substance use disorder.[3]
Treatments have not been well studied.[2] Therapy is often difficult as people with the disorder frequently do not consider themselves to have a problem.[2] About one percent of people are believed to be affected at some point in their life.[4] It appears to occur more often in males than females and affects young people more than older people.[2][3] The personality was first described in 1925 by Robert Waelder while the current name for the condition came into use in 1968.[6]

Right. I’ve also been noticing him enjoying taking credit, but I don’t think anyone will enjoy the tweets when he lashes out blaming everyone else who didn’t cause it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't one of Trump's big campaign messages about how those at the top of the economic ladder have profited from innovations that have damaged the middle and lower classes, like NAFTA? Shouldn't he be more interested in measures of, say, middle class wages and unemployment than in the Dow continuing to go up?
The nice thing about the PP is that I get to not worry or care what the stock market is about to do. I am so pleased about this!! Past stock market corrections were such awful things to live through. On the other hand, if I held 60% in stocks and followed an active trading philosophy like our friend ochotona, I'd be on edge right now too.

Has this become the Trump Scream Room?
I remember reading during the recession of the early 1990s that Trump had a negative NW. Could be that he didn't own much stock to begin with. A lot of his real estate holdings were underwater so he went back and renegotiated lending terms with banks. But this just may have been fake New York Times news.
