Hi.

I would like to subscribe to receive an email every time a new topic is posted in the Permanent Portfolio Discussion forum. Then, if I find the topic interesting I would click on the "Subscribe" link in the topic to receive the replies. This is how I would expect it to work. But the problem is that if I subscribe to the whole forum I also receive every topic reply even if I am not subscribed to the topic.

Is there a way to fix this?

If you have an RSS reader, I think you can subscribe to the following URL:
feed.php?mode=topics

Thanks, I use Feedly so an RSS feed would be an option, but unfortunately the feed that you linked includes topics from all the forums, not just the "Permanent Portfolio Discussion" forum. I tried to get (or build) a URL to include topics restricted to 1 forum but I couldn't find it.

Ah, for just one forum I wasn't able to do that either. However doesn't Feedly include filtering or some such?

Feedly has a feature that could be used to remove unwanted forum topics. It is called Mute Filters but it is only available to paying customers which is not my case.

Thanks, I have done that, let see how it goes. My doubt is if, after unchecking "Someone replies to a topic to which you are subscribed", I will continue receiving the replies to the topic to which I am subscribed.
