Yes, that is part of it. Another part is that a lot of people just vote according to whether it says R or D behind the name, not bothering to go any deeper.Benko wrote: After watching half of it I have to ask, since there is a reasonably possibility that CLinton will be elected, and everyone knows she is dishonest/crooked, perhaps people (or at least certain groups of them) don't care if politicians are corrupt as long as people think they will enact policies that they favor.
You should have watched the second half to see the five parts. So, obviously, all those crony capitalists profiting from the current systemic corruption aren't going to be motivated to end their own gravy train. No, it will have to come from a bottoms up, grass roots movement from people that actually want to end it. It's a no brainer.Benko wrote: After watching half of it I have to ask, since there is a reasonably possibility that CLinton will be elected, and everyone knows she is dishonest/crooked, perhaps people (or at least certain groups of them) don't care if politicians are corrupt as long as people think they will enact policies that they favor.

Who cares about them? All they have is lots of money to buy favors and influence. They're outnumbered. And at some point at the end of a bayonet or guillitone, they will realize it is futile to resist.Benko wrote: "people that actually want to end it. "
I understand. I'm just saying that I'm not sure everyone wants to end it e.g. many Hilary voters.
