Doesn't seem to be helping the price any.

Heh, I was part of that.  Wasnt exactly fleeing to gold, but left my job and finally had access to rebalance my 401k the way I wanted to.  The timing worked well on the stock side.  In this day and age of electronic money, my 401k custodian used the modern conveniences of paper checks and US Mail, had me out of the markets for a downswing.  Guess I should send them a thank you telegram.

the thought that prices have to go up if there are a lot of buyers for something is a myth .  you can have lots of buyers , but they only want to pay a certain level of price .

so you have lots of buyers but you have lots of sellers who want out at those low prices too it is a done deal and prices go lower . .

you need a seller for every buyer .
