I though it would be interesting for only those doing the true PP to post what exactly they hold  and how they are holding it.  For example the breakdown in % of each of the 4 parts in detail.  Thanks for posting.

I'd love to see start dates in these figures.  Presumably the differences are attributable to path dependency of start dates and subsequent contributions.

I'm sure you're right.
- For stocks, in late 2012 I "imported" my starter amount from some that I already had bought a couple months earlier that year. Then I made monthly int'l and US stock buys until Sep 2013. Then bought US stocks in early 2014, and in Dec 2014.

- I bought bonds every month or two from Sep 2012 through Dec 2013, with a big purchase in Nov 2012.

- I bought most of my IAU between Sep 2012 and July 2013. Bullion in Nov 2012, May 2013, and Nov 2013

- Cash, I bought maybe one or two bills, then put a bunch of cash into 3 year notes, and added i-bonds when I... felt like it.

I think cash is the asset I was adding to most regularly. Other stuff, like bonds or gold, I haven't bought in a long time.

				Roth IRA:
stock: VTI
bonds: TLT
gold: IAU
cash: VMMXX
Recently rebalanced, so all weights near 25%.
DW's Roth IRA: same
401k:
stock: plan's S&P 500 fund
bonds: TLT in brokerage window
gold: IAU in brokerage window
cash: plan's T-bill fund
Recently rebalanced, so all weights near 25%.
DW's 401k:
~90% PRPFX in brokerage window
~10% Fidelity Freedom Income
This brokerage window only allows open-ended mutual funds, no ETFs or CEFs, and contributions must go into a Fidelity fund. So she puts contributions in the Income fund and transfers practically everything into PRPFX annually. We're underwhelmed with this 401k plan.
Taxable: Currently 100% high yield savings accounts. About to make some large purchases.

				My setup is pretty simple.
Stocks: VTI
Bonds: TLT
Gold: IAU
Cash: About 80% SCHO, and the rest in checking and my HSA
Overall, I'm split about 60/40 taxable/tax-deferred.  I'm a little light on cash at the moment, but not enough to rebalance.  The next time I rebalance into gold, I'll probably buy a few gold coins.

				25% SCHB.
25% Directly held 30-year Treasury bonds.
25% SCHO.
25% GTU.

Last I checked, around the beginning of this month:
Stocks 26% (FSTVX, VTSMX, IVV, IXUS)
Bonds 25% (some TLT the rest in directly held 30 year treasuries)
Gold 24% (GTU, SGOL, 40% is physical gold)
Cash 25% (Tbills, I Bonds, some short term treasuries, core cash, and HSA)
I've got a hybrid plan for new contributions.  A while ago I did a lagging asset contribution to avoid having to rebalance out of stocks in taxable.  Now, large contributions into tax-advantaged accounts get split evenly between the four assets, while small ones get thrown into cash out of sheer laziness.

For those of you who keep part of the CASH portion in your HSA, is that portion in a fund also within the HSA.

My HSA is basically a checking account with no brokerage window.  That's fine since I include it in the PP cash, and I like that it has no maintenance fees.
