Btw, the recently deceased Sam Simon, co-creator of The Simpsons, left a lot of his fortune to elephant liberation. He used to buy entire circuses to free the animals.

That's pretty cool!  I think we're in the minority around here in terms caring, though.  Animal welfare posts get 30 or less views.

Cool drone application.  Anything to help fight poaching is A-OK with me. 

I see Air Shepherd made Kurzweil AI this week. I'm going to get in on this. Hope they spend the money wisely.

As for the article, I disagree with the first sentence:  "We have known the elephants, the greatest land mammal of them all" which seems to be another tree hugger emotional pull on the heart strings statement by those who think humans are a virus to be exterminated. 

I think humans are the greatest land mammal of them all.  And I do like elephants and do not think they should be needlessly slaughtered.

Fuck me.  And we really care what Wag the Dog bullshit is used to save animals or people in need?  It's the principle that counts, not the justification.

I sure hope China extends execution to animal abusers some day.  But maybe that's too kind.
