Career Relocation

I have lived in Canada my whole life and have accepted a position in the United States with my company. I invest most of my savings in PP however due to the poorly diversified Canadian economy (heavily weighted to oil, mining and financials) I do hold half S&P500 in my stock allocation. The rest is pretty plain jane - Canadian bonds, physical gold and 25% cash. I am a 31 year old with no kids and am in a heavy savings period and would like some thoughts and advice for my recent move.
Should I buy US equities, US bonds, and hold US cash when saving in the States or should I continue to buy Canadian assets while the US dollar is higher? I know we aren't supposed to play the currency game but I'm not sure where I will ultimately end up for retirement and the Canadian dollar has dropped mostly due to oil price and has probably bottomed.
