Do You Hang Your Diplomas Up On The Wall?

Do you hang your college / grad school /other school diplomas up either at home or work? If so, how do you set them up?
I've always thought it was stupid but now I'm reconsidering. Maybe some really high end, fancy wood frames. If I'm going to be pretentious by hanging up my degrees, I might as well go full-pretentious

I haven't done that, but I don't see why anyone should feel pretentious or have to apologize for being proud and wanting to display an accomplishment such as getting a degree/diploma.
It's recognition and a reminder of achieving a goal, which probably took a lot of hard work and self discipline to achieve.

Side topic - in my line of work, I correspond with highly formally educated people. When they include titles like "MBA" or "PhD" in their email signature, it rubs me the wrong way. I can understand it for Medical Doctors and Attorneys because their degrees are tied to their regulatory-licensure that allows them to work. With the other degrees, for the most part, it feels lame.

I have the MBA hanging next to my workstation in my home office. It was accomplished while working full time and took such a tremendous effort that I get inspiration from it. I don't need it for my work so at least this way I get something from it
I am also put off by people who do this in their office at work or who add titles to their signatures. That seems like they're trying to impress others with something other than their personality and work.
I only worry about impressing/inspiring myself.
Go full pretentious at home, I wouldn't do it at work. My GF surprised me by putting it in a nice frame.

A friend of mine used to hang his washing machine warranty along with his diplomas. Hard to tell the difference. That was when washing machine warranties were pretty nice pieces of paper.

I only finished one year of college but am thinking that could make a good gag placard.... "in recognition of some college experience..." I say go for it. If you don't like it after a while, take them down and spackle over the holes.

We get Jedi Knight certificates from the Universal Life Church as gag gifts for our outgoing clinical fellows. I remain hopeful that one of them has hung it up next to his/her various diplomas, board certifications et.

They also get nice textbooks and a nicely alcoholic party.

The way I found out that my patent had been issued is that I got a mailer offering to help me commemorate it with a plaque.
I didn't buy one...

If high quality presentation of a diploma/degree/award is what you're after, I'm partial to permanent lamination over wood (cherry, etc.). Drawback is that it's permanent; benefit is that it looks
really slick.
That said, I don't have my degrees hanging on the wall, but that's mainly because I'm lazy and haven't done it. I don't think it's pretentious, as long as there are only a few of them at most (not, say, 20 of them covering the wall). Knowledge and hard work are virtues that should be held up in our society for mutual praise and admiration, without shame, and displaying one's educational degrees on the wall is one way of doing that.
Cultures in which people are hesitant to openly display pride in knowledge and educational achievement for fear of ridicule or persecution are the cultures where you're most likely to be mugged or raped as you walk down the street. We aspire to something better than that in enlightened, civilized societies.

I don't hang my degrees on the wall, but I store my pens and pencils in a coffee mug on my desk which bears the following reminder: "MBA- When your BS just can't take you any further."
