Hello!

US-PP in a EU broker makes sense?

Which 4 ETF's would be better?

I am not sure which EU based ETF's to use. But if you have access to US markets and want to invest in a US PP using American funds, I would suggest...

25% VTI or VOO
25% VGLT or TLT
25% SHV or SHY or SCHO or VGSH
25% IAU

Caveat: I have no objection to ETFs for most of a PP but I do recommend holding at least some of the gold in physical form.

Hi,

would you feel confortable of exchange rate risk?

USD versus EUR

Thanks.

I don't do currency speculation. That said, CraigR has written some very thoughtful posts that make me question the long term future of the Euro. Purely on the basis of economics the EU is probably comparable to the United States in terms of GDP, and we are talking about a confederation of mostly developed countries here. I would stick with the US. But I am also an American.
