I can help you with Schwab which is where my accounts are:
SCHB 25% Stocks
SCHO 25% Cash
TLO 25% Bonds
SGOL 25% Gold
These can be traded commission free and have low fees...

At some point, the questions that have been asked and answered 1000 times on this forum really need to be put into an easily searchable wiki

What people are trying to tell you, Frugal, is that you should just set up your US-PP with Schwab once and for all!

It's not even a matter of a search box; hasn't frugal asked these same questions over and over and over and over himself?

Maybe frugal is a bot. Shall we apply the Turing test?
Just kidding, frugal. Merry Christmas. Open that Schwab account already and have a prosperous New Year.

I had something to contribute to this thread, but I seem to have forgotten it...
EDIT:
Oh yeah, Fidelity has tons of free ETFs. And you can trade bonds for free, unlike Schwab. Plus I hear their website is better.
Distractions...
