Even William Zanzinger got six months, and he only killed one LIP*

(* Less Important Person)

If you will indulge me for a moment...
Drunk Ethan Couch killed four unlucky people
With a truck that he steered with his diamond ring fingers
On a Tarrant County highway as he was a weavin'
And the cops were called in and his truck was took from him
As they rode him to the hospital for treatment and healin'
And a while after that charged Ethan Couch for being drunk and for killin'

But you who philosophize disgrace and criticize all fears
Take the rag away from your face
Now ain’t the time for your tears

Drunk Ethan Couch, who at sixteen years
Had a dad with a plant that did sheet metal stampin'
And his rich wealthy parents who would look out for and protect him
Hired a sleazy attorney with connections in the County of Tarrant
And with slurred words and sneering, while on his phone he was a textin'
Reacted to his deed with a shrug of his shoulders
And after being treated was released and out walking

But you who philosophize disgrace and criticize all fears
Take the rag away from your face
Now ain’t the time for your tears

Four random people were out on the roadway
They were various ages and had assorted children
They did different jobs and were otherwise average
Though none of them sat at the head of the table
And didn’t even know about the people at the table
Who just tried to stay out of the way of the drivers at the table
And made their ways on a whole other level
Got killed by a truck, lay slain by a drunk
They had sailed through the air and came down on the shoulder
After the killer's red Ford ran them down like a boulder
And they never done nothing to drunk Ethan Couch

But you who philosophize disgrace and criticize all fears
Take the rag away from your face
Now ain’t the time for your tears

In the courtroom of honor, the judge pounded her gavel
To show that all’s equal and that the courts are on the level
And that the strings in the books ain't pulled and persuaded
And that even the nobles get properly handled
Once that the cops have chased after and caught ’em
And that the ladder of law has no top and no bottom
Stared at the person who killed in a stupor
Who just happened to be drivin' after a whole lot of drinkin'
And she spoke through her cloak, most deep and distinguished
And handed out strongly, with scorn and condemnation
Drunk Ethan Couch with a...sentence of probation

Oh, but you who philosophize disgrace and criticize all fears
Bury the rag deep in your face
For now’s the time for your tears
