We have a mixed economy, i.e. a highly regulated free-ish market economy.

Go figure!

I've been saying the economy is not improving, the printing will continue, the economy will deteriorate and I said there would no taper today and all three assets would be up.

The simple principles I used to divine this were:

1. Counterfieting hurts the economy
2. Slowing the rate of monetary increase will bring on recession. This will be unpleasent for those in power.
3. Printing xtra dollars devalues the dollar and other stuff will go up in terms of dollars.
