What set of circumstances would have to take place for PRPFX to regain the $50.00 a share price? Gold at 1700.00 and the Dow at 16,000, etc?

PRPFX is an inflation weighted fund. So think currency weakness and or inflation.

What percentage does PPRFX have to grow to reach $50.00 a share? What were the circumstances the last time (and only time) it approached that value?

Roughly 7% which is not out of line for an annual gain. PRPFX has generally done quite well during the period 2000-2012. It was buoyed by dollar weakness and gold strength. In the period following the panic of 08-09 up through 2011 we pretty much saw all of the assets rise sharply together. That was highly unusual and rarely lasts for that long.

How many years do you project it would take for PRPFX to double?

Gold and silver need to begin rising again, interest rates need to fall, and the dollar needs to weaken.
PRPFX enjoyed a perfect storm of favorable conditions from 2000-2011. Similarly, it saw unfavorable conditions in the 1990s.
Although Cuggino seems like a perfectly nice fellow, there was a sort of Peter Sellers/Being There quality to Cuggino's fund management in the early 2000's.
