Silent Circle

Since Craig was so into that "padlocked" external drive with the keypad that I posted about, I was wondering if anyone uses Silent Circle's services. They have a suite of encrypted communication services: text, email, video, etc. And, they keep their servers in Canada, which is apparently one of the better countries for data privacy.
While Skype is free, Silent Circle's products are $20 a month, too rich for my blood. But, I also don't run a company. And, the only person I asked in the flesh about this software said that their firm does their own encryption and therefore wouldn't need Silent Circle.
I don't have any affiliation with them, obviously. I'm just glad they exist and am curious about them. They've got a good web page called, "What We Do and What We Don't Do", explaining how clients have to do their part if they truly want to have secure messages.
