This is an interesting news. Gundlach thinks stocks are overbought and his prediction regarding AAPL just came true.

Interesting! It's fun to read this right after seeing Buffett recently call long-term treasuries a "dumb" investment. I might have to revisit those articles from a year or two about about Pimco's Bill Gross ill-timed treasury dump.

It's always fun to see a Treasury bull come out. Whenever I am talking with fellow finance guys and the idea interest rates "having to go up" is mentioned I just sheepishly smile and nod.

Yes and Gundlach is no light weight either.  His total return fund has had some amazing returns.

Gundlach is an interesting guy. A math whiz and Yale PhD dropout, he made news when he was fired from TCW after 24 years and set up his own firm DoubleLine. Less than 3 years later the firm amassed $52 bln.

Here's a good story about him:

"The yen, trading at 93 to the dollar, is "of course" headed toward 100."
"I think it is going to 200" yen to the dollar, he said.

Now here's a real time call to go with those treasuries.

I like listening to the rationale from anyone buying treasuries that isn't a Central Banker.

Hmmm so Gundlach has been long Treasuries, short yen, and long japanese equities. Can you get any more right than that?

He must be a very happy camper.
