8 Government Conspiracy Theories (And How They Could Be Right)
Grab your tinfoil hats. It’s time to get paranoid.

With Obama swearing on MLK's Bible tomorrow and then honoring him with his own national holiday on Monday I thought it was interesting to learn how far we've come in the last 20 or 30 years. Aren't you glad the government no longer does this kind of thing? If we had a government like this today I would have actually been worried when I saw them putting up security cameras on all four corners of the intersection near my house yesterday. And can you imagine the CIA actually having a program to influence the media?

Why would they need to? We have our own Pravda.

And while I'm on the subject of paranoid conspiracy theories.....
Anybody ever use the face recognition function in Google's Picasa? I was playing with it just the other day and it's actually pretty impressive. It goes through all your pictures and picks out the faces and then asks you to identify them. Each time you identify one it trains the software to identify more until it becomes amazingly good at it. The window that pops up for identification only requires a name but you can enter as much information to identify the person as you want.
And then a few days later I see them putting up those cameras on all four corners of the intersection and a silly thought entered my head. I dismissed it quickly of course because we all know that Google has a very high regard for our privacy.

But Google was funded by the CIA...

Yes, I figure they have been in bed with the feds for a long time.
So I won't be surprised when I'm looking at my house on Google Earth and my picture pops up. I know they already know the SSID of my wireless router because they also collect that when they are travelling through the neighborhoods.

Why do we even need the CIA to collect data on us when we voluntarily give it up to Facebook?

Correlation of multiple sources provides verification of data and allows greater inferences of unknown data increasing with the number of sources.

Exactly. That was the whole point of gathering information on wireless SSID's as they traveled through the neighborhoods. Have you noticed how well your location can now be tracked on devices that do NOT have GPS?
