This one is fun... It's always interesting to challenge our fears with statistics:

Great reminders! People frequently lose sight of the big picture and focus on the wrong things.
Like HB says, when you ask the wrong question, it doesn't matter what the answer is. For example "how can we prevent shark attacks" is the wrong question because it's not something we should be concerned of. The 1 Million Heart Attack deaths due to obesity and smoking we have per year should be the "question" of how to prevent it.

Clearly we should ban the flu. Think of how many lives we'd save! Do it for the children.

We should ban driving, too.

Does anyone watch the Prepper show on National Geographic? (I think that's the right channel)
I consistently think to myself as I am watching it "You are preparing for the wrong things."
Instead of trying to avoid being killed by an earthquake, they often should be working on strengthening their earning capacity, increasing their physical fitness and becoming a better parent/spouse.

after watching part of an episode w/ a friend, it quickly became apparent that this particular show is designed to mock the idea of preparing for future events.
