I guess Siegfried and Roy's tigers were just as freaky as they were.

I nominate Pandas for extinction too.  Any animal that won't have sex enough to propagate its species, even in captivity, deserves to vanish.

My understanding is that since the male pandas "are just so cute" they all find themselves in the friend zone with the lady pandas, and this is what is messing things up.

Another theory is that virtually all male pandas are actually homosexual, and if it weren't for the rare heterosexual or bisexual stud male panda the species would have died out long ago.

Maybe the gay pandas can contract with the lesbian pandas to make a bunch of babies with the help of an intermediary.  Similar to what happens today except under the contracts, the straight female pandas are laid off.
