Tax deferred IRA without income limitations?

My wife and I have combined AGI > the $170K or so the government allows for a traditional IRA, and we're both already maxing our 401k's at 16,500 per year. Is there any other option out there that would allow us to defer taxes on part of our income into an investment account? The re-balancing of my individual brokerage account is probably going to eat a significant chunk of my profits over the years. Or would you just recommend 4x25 in 401k and 90/10 PRPFX/EDV for taxable?
