Thanks for this great analysis.  Have you ever considered using something like smartstops.net as a SL technical measure?  I guess if you subscribe to their service, and use TD Ameritrade as your broker, they will even update your stops automatically.  This would probably give you a pretty good mix of only needing to check your account once a year, but having stops updated to more accurately reflect current market conditions:

You are unlocking the black boxes Clive. This proves anyone can do it for themselves instead of paying big subscription fees to someone else claiming to have superior/mysterious insight to the market.
