Just had a listen- very good. Although I'm sure I don't need the book at this point, I look forward to buying a few to give as gifts.
Take out the J from your name, Tex, and you have the name of my sister's wild ex-boyfriend from many decades ago. I seem to remember an incident with him on the roof in which the police were called.

Anyway, if I were to write this book, I would follow the assertion that you can set it and forget it with the idea that one should set it and forget it, aside from those rebalancing bands. That is, one should tinker as little as possible, and not only because it is time consuming. It's clear that you guys have covered that.

I'd forgotten about Woebegon, where all the children are above average.

Side note: Is the marquee tag in this forum new? I never noticed it before. I vow never to use it.

I don't see it in iTunes, I can only listen through the blog.  Is it linking correctly?

I forgot to subscribe to it in iTunes, but you know you can always right-click* to download and then open the file in iTunes, right?

*Unless you have a "magic mouse", in which case you do whatever crazy gesture gets you a right-click action. And, don't forget to delete the download because iTunes makes a duplicate.

It should download via iTunes, but there is an issue with the iTunes store that I'm working on.

I got it through iTunes, but I had to click the "download everything" button.

Lovely interview!  Only halfway through but can't wait to hear the rest.  The perspectives you both offered on how you and others come to the PP were right on target.  Just as you'd said, I got there after I'd finally had it with having my clock cleaned repeatedly with traditional investing, and no longer wanted my future to rest on what I had come to view as a  gambling system with somewhat better odds than a state lottery.

Investing in stocks has been referred to several times on this forum as the "Wall Street Casino".  Once you come to the realization that you cannot consistently beat the house,  you look for alternatives or a new system.  The PP feels like a system to use against the house to give you a legitimate chance to win.  It also feels like the Casino hasn't figured out this system yet or really doesn't care because there are so few players.

Maybe someday if there is enough players we will be banned from the Casino.  We will be classified the same as card counters.

That's what people said about indexing too. So far, Wall St. hasn't managed to run out of suckers.
