I'm looking for the top Joe Bidenisms.
Today he actually said: "They're going to put y'all back in chains"

That one has to make the list.

I wonder if that was plagiarized?

I thought it was hilarious when Mitt said "You can't drive a car with a windmill on it!" (talking about wind power) Obama replied in his stump speech "I don't know if he's actually tried that. I know he's had other things on his car."
I think a couple people have tried this and had spectacular results, both the windmill and a dog:
The even funnier part is that they are both wrong.
"First, let's look at Romney's claim that you can't put a windmill on a car. You should try hiring some kids who can use The Google, Mitt, because a California team built a windmill-powered car called the Blackbird that not only uses a windmill for power, but proved that it's possible to travel downwind faster than the wind itself. And upwind, too, of course. You absolutely can put a windmill on a car. Generally, you wouldn't want to, but I think there's ways to get power from windmills to a car and everywhere else remotely. Since Romney seems to be a fan of coal, he can remind himself of this every time he doesn't see someone shoveling coal into a Prius. The "wires and batteries" idea works the same way for both coal and wind.
For Obama, he may have just meant it as a joke, but let's look deeper and assume his real motive was to suggest that Romney had experimented with dog-powered cars. That's been tried, too. Way more often than you'd think. In 1875 (Cynosphere), 1939 (Poochmobile), and even in 2008. What the hell is the matter with these people?"

Okay, I'll throw in another one.
Biden once said the following:
"You cannot go to a 7-11 or Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian Accent."

Don't forget the time he said Barack Obama was the first black man to be articulate and clean!

LOL! I forgot about that one. A real knee slapper.
You know he actually thought he was in North Carolina today when he was really in Virginia.

He's out with a new one today:
'Folks, where's it written we cannot lead the world in the 20th century in making automobiles?"

I think that being VP after being Secretary of State would suck. The only good thing is that it would align you well to be the next party nominee for President, which is probably what Clinton wants (even though she said she wasn't going to run for President again).

Biden strikes again:
"How they can justify raising taxes on the middle class that's been buried in the last four years?"
Good work, Joe! And on the eve of the Presidential debates, no less.

Not a Bidenism, but I loved this one from news commentator after his speech at the Democratic convention:
"Obama definitely has courage. He gave Joe Biden a microphone."
(can't remember which channel, sorry).

I'm shocked Obama hasn't locked him away somewhere for the rest of the election season. What can Obama possibly gain by letting him speak at this point?
I guess they figure everyone already knows that he's a loose cannon, and no one REALLY cares what the VP says anyway.
I do actually like Biden, although I won't be voting for their ticket. He's at least a real person, and doesn't come across like a robotic politician.

Vice Presidents have often had the habit of delivering "Joe Bidenisms" and other embarrassing behaviors.
Dan Quayle had the potatoe debacle, and Cheney shot someone.
I once heard that Hubert Humphrey said something like "It is a shame in a country as great as America that half the people make less than the median income", but I cannot find confirmation of that. So perhaps apocryphal. But still funny.

Quayle and Cheney were crucified it by the mainstream press. So was anything Palin said. Why isn't Biden?
