Looks like a pretty sweet ride. Nice to see Toyota trying to make some real sports cars. The last ones they made were in the 80s and early 90s. I think the old school 86s were really nice rear wheel drive cars, and of course the MR2s are great little cars.

My first thought at seeing this particular picture was "Nissan Z"! Mid and back look similar. The Z is only a few $1000 more too...

I will be interesting to see how it handles and compares to the Subaru version whose cars a very balanced and stable.

I've been checking in on the Subaru version since it was first announced as a maybe-someday possibility. Looks like a great car. There are very few mass-produced Sports Cars in the traditional sense, meaning a minimalist car intended purely for sport. My only quibble is that I wish it were a two-seater so it could be smaller and lighter yet.

Once you've gone this route it's hard to stop short of a Porsche Cayman.

It's about time that we make it affordable for the common people to own a $25K sport-car.
$25K is the requirement for Pattern Day Trader.
