Here is a wonderful website for a lazy Sunday called AirPano.

It features many breathtaking aerial panoramic views of "the most interesting places on our planet".

I highly recommend the Angel Waterfall of Venezuela.

I wasted enjoyed a few hours roaming around that site.  Looks like I can cancel my trip around the world  ;)

Love it!  Thanks for posting.

I'm quite impressed at the lengths they went to in order to get the Great Pyramid footage.  Turned out great.

It's exciting to think about what might be possible with this sort of "virtual tourism" using the technology that the coming decades will bring.  I think that this is all just the beginning.

I really liked The Great Sphinx of Giza.  I had no idea the city was that close to it -- imagine looking out your bedroom window and seeing the Sphinx staring right back at you, with the pyramids right behind it...so weird.

I completely agree that this is just the beginning of "virtual tourism".  It should be fun to watch this unfold.
