Jobs to stay in shape

I'm in a real funk when it comes to going to the gym lately. I can't seem to motivate myself to expend a tremendous amount of effort to accomplish nothing of any consequence. I'm not lazy, in fact I love physical activity, I would just like it to have a purpose....like chopping wood, or digging holes. My regular job puts me at a desk all day until about 2 or 3 but after that I would like to find a part time job maybe evenings or weekends that not only pays me, but forces me to do a lot of hard physical labor.....kind of like getting paid to go to the gym...in fact the harder the physical labor in the job the better.
Does anyone have any ideas of any jobs that would be like this? I was thinking maybe valet parking for some cardio....or maybe a bicycle pizza delivery guy.
What about some anaerobic exercise type jobs?
I welcome all suggestions or ideas.

Not sure about jobs, but if you want a more productive exercise routine, try Jiu Jitsu.
You'll learn something, meet some cool people, and get a great workout.

Farm hand.
Btw, from the title I was so sure this was going to be a thread about the unemployment report.

You could get a paper route and deliver the papers by bicycle. You could listen to the soundtrack from one of the "Rocky" movies on your ipod while you were riding around at 4:00am with 100 pounds of newspapers.
You could start a lawn service and only use non-motorized rotary mowers.
Depending on your current physique and sense of moral flexibility, you could become a male stripper.

Loading trucks for FedEx or UPS will give you quite a workout. The boxes come down a conveyor belt and you run them to the trucks. It might be third shift work, but I think they provide benefits for part timers.

Easy tiger, hard physical work isn't what it's cracked up to be.
If practicable, you could try cycling to your regular job. It's good daily exercise that you don't have to motivate yourself for as it's part of your regular routine.
If you do give it a go I'd recommend a couple of sessions of cycle road training as there been some fairly radical rethinking in cycling behavior in the last few years.

If it snows where you live, shovel the snow off the sidewalks in your district. You don't get paid for it but get lots of appreciation from old folks which is nice.

I put myself through college doing this at UPS. Sorted packages by zip code. That was the best shape I have ever been in.

None of these jobs pay well, but if money is not an issue, the paper route job is pretty good. You work about 1-2 hours a day, bike 10 miles, and get strong arms from throwing the newspapers up to the 2nd floor apartments. I had a paper route when I was a kid and it was probably the best shape I've ever been in.
The part that sucks is the Saturday and Sunday deliveries. Usually they need to be delivered by 6:30 or 7:00 am, which means you're probably up at 5:00 am bundling papers. You also can't take a day off, ever, unless you find a substitute, and most people are not exactly dying to deliver papers for $5 a day.
