Scheduled Contributions to PP

What does Harry Browne have to say about contributions to the PP?  What schedule (i.e., every paycheck/monthly/quarterly)?  What allocation between the asset classes?

What caveats do you have for scheduled contributions to the PP?

I can't recall him ever addressing this.

In principle I think you should get money into your portfolio as soon as practicable, since the PP is safer and earns a better rate of return than checking or savings accounts.  Beyond that I don't think the schedule matters very much.

The blanket advice is to put all new contributions into cash.  Then rebalance as necessary according to the regular 15/35 rules.  That's what I do.
