Well friends Tyler @ Portfolio Charts has truly outdone himself with this new, ultra-timely offering:

https://portfoliocharts.com/2025/04/09/ ... k-markets/

Like many others who frequent this board I'm a great admirer of Tyler's work. Here you have so many of his virtues on full display: humility and equanimity, a profound grasp of marke history AND behavioral finance, an appetite and respect for data that are unsurpassed, the invaluable visual illustration of what would otherwise sometimes be dry concepts with charts that give one a visceral sense of what it would be like to actually live with a portfolio through thick and thin.

I especially love the last few paragraphs where he matches, in a broad brush strokes way, investor types with model portfolios. Really great stuff!

Thanks for bringing it to our attention. Just read it. Definitely an excellent, worthwhile read.

Thanks, Kevin. I'm glad you found it informative! The investor personality types was fun to write about.

And special thanks to blue_ruin17 for introducing me to the word "equanimity". :)
