Max price us gas pumps can handle? Over $10?

At this rate I would not be surprised if we hit $10 gas per gallon.

That made me take note of price signs that only have 3 digits making 9.99 the highest price. I am sure the price signs can get creative to handle $10 but what about systems.

I tried a quick Google but didn't find anything on how high the systems can go.

I did find something from history. There were pumps that only went to 3.99 a gallon.

I have seen some postings over the last few days that the pumps shut you off at $100.

That probably seemed ridiculously high and unreasonable when the programming was done.

They'll pass a law to prevent "price gouging" and we'll get lines and rationing instead. In this together.
