This is one the better discussions I've heard regarding the polarization happening currently...I think it gets to the root of the left / right divide. Worth a listen if you have some time

Watched it a while ago.
I saw Weinstein on another youtube and I was surprised to learn that although he thinks Trump is a scallywag, he's pretty convinced by now that he's not Hitler and is going to vote for him because of one issue - Critical Race Theory (aka racial sensitivity training if you're Chris Wallace). He also said he's hearing the same thing from other academics who are secretly afraid of how this is taking over so many of our institutions.
No telling how many secret Trump voters there are on the left for this reason but I guess we'll find out on election day.

Can you post where he announced his vote? From the Rogan podcast it seemed to suggest that he thought that some of our so called hardwired biological traits were mutable. Perhaps racial sensitivity training ineffective but both he and peterson expressed concern with the correlation between conservatives and propensity towards disgust. In other words, how on the one hand this biological traits could help from an evolutionary standpoint by keeping foreign diseases at bay caused by intermingling groups, on the other hand if taken too far could be utilized to fuel events like the holocaust.

On JRE 1494, with only Bret Weinstein, he explained his plan for how he wants our political system to work. Essentially, he wants to "draft" (his word) 2 politicians from both sides of the spectrum who are both palatable to the other side and not extreme. His two were Andrew Yang on the left and Admiral McRaven from the right. One would be president for 8 years and the other would be VP, then they'd switch afterwards. Then we'd draft new ppl.
It was a really mind-blowing podcast. He talked about, among other things, how pretty much all the lab mice that are used have really long telomeres, and so they aren't good test subjects for medicines or anything, because telomeres affect cancer.
link to that clip. Also talked a lot about bats and coronavirus.

I'm sure one of the first executive orders to come out of the white house if Biden wins will be to cancel Trump's order eliminating critical race theory indoctrination.
