I have received PMs and messages from people around the web telling me they are unable to join this forum. In addition, I found it curious that volcker has been our newest member for like a million years.

I just tried making a test account and indeed it didn't work.

My test account creation failed where it seems to have failed for others, namely that the confirmation email never seems to arrive in my inbox.

Xan, or perhaps anyone who happens to have admin access, is this something you can look into? We have people wanting to join our community and are unable. That's really not good.

Wow, sorry folks. Somehow exim, the email server software on the forum's machine, wasn't running. Could everyone try again please?

Smith, thanks for pointing this out.

I just rebooted the server to apply a kernel update, and it appears that for some reason exim isn't coming up on startup. I don't know why this would be yet, but surely systemd is to blame!
