Do you see there being any issue that money is concentrated in the hands of a very small elite and that this money has incredible influence over the laws of our nation? Do you think the current system that we have created might possibly not be serving the best interests and long term health and viability of our society because of this concentration of influence and power? Do you accept that the incredible wealth that has been amassed by these individuals is largely the result of a system of laws that our society has created and that absent such laws such concentrated wealth would not be possible? In my mind this entire system is a useful illusion predicated on buy in from everyone. The minute the majority of society gets the sense that the game is no longer fair then the whole thing comes toppling down. The basis of everything is property rights and those only exist because our society at large confers them onto individuals. When engineering anything one must periodically analyze outcomes and reassess....perhaps the time has come to tweak some things. Of course, being conservative by nature you probably would have resisted our present system that you now defend..having sided with feudal Lord's and against rising merchant class..just as you resist progress or evolution of our present system...so this conversation is probably futile..

By the way...not sure AOCs wealth tax is a good idea...don't seem to have good track record. Probably better ways of making sure that wealth (the outcomes of our collective societies efforts) is more evenly distributed

I'm not a conservative. I'm an anarchocapitalist, so of course I agree with all of that except this.

Property rights are human rights, namely the rights of humans to own what they produce or acquire by voluntary exchange.

Of course, the supposed purpose of government is to secure human rights, including property rights.

However, government by its very nature must enforce its dictates by violence, which violates the non-aggression principle.

The non-aggression principle in turn is a direct consequence of the Golden Rule, which is the only moral principle that virtually everyone agrees to as far as its application to themselves.

Unfortunately, most people aren't willing to obey the Golden Rule in a consistent and thorough manner. If they were, they too would be anarchocapitalists.

There is a collective nature to success that is ignored within this country that I think places too much much focus on the individual vs the hive. This imbalance is not healthy and will lead to everyone's destruction...society and the individual if not brought back into balance.

Property was produced by God...not man. The fruits which it bears are both due to the God given bounty of nature combined with input from man. In our present system all of the benefits of this God created property are conferred onto individuals and all of the externalities from production..pollution and what not are socialized....this is one example of a problem

This concept of property is not radical...the idea of it as a shared community resource goes back to many of our founding fathers. While man might create the technology to exploit nature they didnt create the sun and atmosphere and elements that give it value to our life....those belong to all creatures
