I just posted this in the main Coronavirus thread, but then spotted this thread, so I figured I'd repost it here...

After many months (years?) of my wife nagging me about my snoring/apnea, I finally gave in early this year and got a CPAP machine. I'm ignorant about ventilators, but had the idea the other day of whether a CPAP machine could be used as a "not-as-good-but-maybe-good-enough" ventilator substitute. Sure enough, a Google search turned up some hits on this idea. Here's one:
