Happened to come across this discussion about Gold via the link
https://ingoldwetrust.report/wp-content ... old_EN.pdf
The topic seems to be very in-depth (at least for me

). Has anyone else come across this "Freegold" discussion?
Attached are a few links which I am reading in an attempt to understand their thesis.

I've run into this discussion before and found it interesting but not fundamentally valid.
My opinion is that it's not possible to have fiat paper money on a level playing field with gold. The only reason anyone holds fiat is that they think they can pass it on to someone else later; its intrinsic value is zero, and that's the value it will have in the long run.

Thanks for your opinion Libertarian666,
From reading so far,
1. They expect the paper price of gold to diverge from the physical price. Twenty years have passed since the prediction.... it may happen, but when?
2. Save in Gold and only use fiat for transactions. Not sure where that leaves bonds.
Sounds a bit like Edelweiss Holdings investment principles.

My savings are in gold and I maintain cash in t-bills for expected expenses.

Forgive me if this question has been answered in another thread, but has this always been your allocation or has your confidence in the PP been rattled?

I've been very gold-heavy for a long time. I was in the 4x25 PP for about 10 years in the 1990's but put pretty much everything into gold in 1998/1999 due to worries about Y2K. Obviously that didn't amount to much, but I did get my gold at prices around $300 so it worked out well by sheer luck.
