Question on using Desert Portfolio as savings

I am currently using the Desert Portfolio as my savings vehicle:

60% IEF
10% AAAU
15% MTUM
15% USLV

I am saving all of my spouse's paychecks each month in anticipation of buying a vacation home in 2-3 years (2 years being the absolute quickest it could happen).

What are everyone's opinions on the risk/reward of keeping the house savings in the Desert Portfolio I have instead of just in a basic 2% savings account (which may very well go under 2% with more rate cuts)?

I would never use volatile assets to fill a need for short term money and 2-3 years is short term

Buy CDs or high quality bonds that mature in 2-3 years.
