I was having a hard time finding the part II of this thread — every time i hit reply, it took me to a fork about electriity.

Could you direct me to that fork on electricity??!!!
I just spent hours and hours today updating my electricity usage from my electric bills (I've been doing this since 1998) and doing a lot of research on what to buy so as to do real time monitoring of the electricity usage in my house.

They're mostly English majors, or at least that's what it was like when one of my first girlfriends went there back in the late Devonian.

Can't remember where I saw it, but this morning it was being reported that gardening is racist. That's because, I presume, anything that hints of self-sufficiency, capability, or initiative discriminates against people who are incapable of those things.
Wait. . . Isn't it racist to assume that racial minorities are less capable and lacking in initiative?

A BBC presenter was criticised on Saturday for claiming British gardening is 'racist' because of its 'fetishisation' of terms such as 'heritage' and 'native'.
So don't fetishize the terms heritage and native and maybe your garden will be okay.

As Wong pointed out, it’s not gardening itself that is racist. Don’t get me wrong. He’s definitely full of it.

Have you all noticed that every single article on vaccine hesitancy avoids the issues that most people are concerned about (long term side effects, insufficient testing prior to distribution, rare but potentially serious short term side effects) and instead focuses on how it's all down to blacks and Hispanics not trusting the medical system?
Here in NYC, they trust the system just fine. Better than the suburbanites in the private clinics in fact. It's just a clickbait explanation, but it will feed the "systemic racism" story and that's of course the goal.

I neither trust nor distrust the medical system. I just think it's prudent to wait and see how it all pans out. I'm 71 and don't see any point in poking my arm with a shot when I've already made it this far without it, the only precautions I'm taking being my normal social distancing as an introvert and even pushing that envelope.
As for the racial stuff - take that and stick it where the sun don't shine. Sick and tired of it by now.
