Vinny, I saw your posts in a thread on b’heads about cats.
Can’t you get an autofeeder so you can sleep through the night?
Not for canned food.
They love the dry food but I've read that that type of diet leads to kidney issues. Almost all of my cats have died of kidney failure so trying to keep that as long in the future as possible by primarily feeding them those Friskey cans. Though when I was discussing animals with a vet last week she told me that cats are now living long lives and their kidneys were not built to last forever.
On the financial side ... this month one of my cats has about $1,600 dental work (teeth cleaning / removal). The same as what she had in July 2022 for $1,200. Total of $2,800 invested so far in this 6-year-old cat. By far the most I've ever spent on any animal. That could be more than I've spent in total on all other animals for many years going back.
When I brought her back in yesterday for a healing checkup I was advised to brush her lower teeth. I told them I did not think that would be possible given the struggle it was to just give her a twice daily pill for pain. Was glad when that was over.
