Has anyone seen Department Q on Netflix?
So great.
Yes, it was a 2 Evening Journey. Waiting for the next Season

Nice!
Originally a Danish novel. No wonder imdb dot com spells his name Mørck.

Looks like I was caught up in the latest Microsoft credentials leak. Had an unauthorized login from an IP address in the U.S.
Looks like I'm going password changing today.

Not exactly how I was planning on spending my Sunday, but at least it was just my Microsoft account and not something more critical...

Have you guys watched 28 Years Later?
It's both bizarre and excellent. The style, cinematography, and the mood of the film is very 2000s -- in a good way.
Serious nostalgia and a very creative story (not your usual zombie fare).

Have not. Watched Dept Q (awesome) and a movie called To Catch a Killer (pretty good).

I'm catching Dept Q next. The missus and I need a new show to chill with in the evenings.

It’s so good. Originally a Danish novel, but the show is Scottish.
Vinny doesn’t have time to watch it.

As I work though all my daily morning things on this computer I'm listening to C-Span's Washington Journal on this computer and last night's Yankees game on my TV. Both in background while I do things like this. Little that I have to watch gets my full attention.
I do, though, listen to the audio portion of videos like I'm doing now and when I'm outside in my garden or doing other things on my property.

It's not that kind of video, Vinny. Just pull it up.

There are lots of competition for my time. Which is why few videos which I have to watch get my time / attention.
Oh, that’s the guy from the ‘Ask Haviv Anything’ podcast.
Base M4 Has Crazy Performance

I picked up a nice little base model Mac mini from the Apple store a couple days ago. I've hooked it up to our living room TV as a home theatre computer.
As a base model with the plain vanilla M4 chip, 16GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD, I wasn't expecting much.
But just for kicks, I loaded up the Resident Evil 4 remake at 1080P with max graphical quality... and wowza. Buttery smooth gameplay.
Check it out:
(You can see the little mini in the bottom left corner.)
Apple is really knocking it out of the park with their silicon.

Nothing super special at the moment, especially given how well-equipped MacOS seems to be out of the box.
I will probably end up installing Plex at some point for some media management goodness.

In other news, I’ve joined the club: I’ve completely lost my sense of taste & smell to covid (Nimbus variant).
There is not one thing that I can smell or taste.

I had it for the first time last summer. May have had it again a several weeks ago. Did not test for it this time around.
However, neither time did I experience that. Thankfully!

I’m sorry to hear that. I hope you recover taste and smell quickly.
