You did not carry over your massive retaliation post here.

But so far all they've done is send over 100 drones of which Jordan shot some of them down to protect their own country.

That Israel was able to do all they did shows what a mismatch it is between Iran and Israel. Israel can count on different forms of powerful backing from the United States. What effective support does Iran have from anywhere?

What happened to them has to be super embarrassing as country.

Finally, one of the few times I agreed with Trump in what he wrote today.

While not exactly the US’s counterpart, Iran *is* the support. It *is* the backing, and used to attacking another country by proxy.
It’s still fairly new that they attack directly. How’s that working out for them?

Yes. Iran has been backing all the others attacking Israel but it's all them with nothing behind them. They are just so completely overmatched in so many ways.

1) Their people don't support their government

2) Head-to-head weaker than Israel on almost all levels

3) Don't have anything backing them while Isreal has The Super Power of the world.

I am truly shocked that Trump can write so many words in which I am full support and cannot criticize anything in it! But I have a bias in that I'm one of those "Israel can do no wrong" people.

After what has been done to the Jewish people not in in World War II but before and after .. I totally support their "Never again."

Greatly admire their extreme toughness in carrying that out since they became a nation in 1948.

I am also reading a book on their current Prime Minister (written by him and came out in 2022). Will later be reading more of it.

Michael Lewis's "The Undoing Project" touches on this topic, in addition to having much else to recommend.

Have to check that out.

Looks like Israel is taking its lumps now. Iranian ballistic missiles overwhelming the defenses, which were made to handle Hezbollah’s rockets. At least one has hit a civilian apartment.

Just went to Amazon to see the book and Amazon tells me I bought August 7, 2020. Cannot remember if I read it, though have a slight memory that I did.

I'm hot and cold on his books. Some quite good, others not so. I think this fell into the former.

Many thanks for this excellent set of posts.

Still reading all in the first one.

But I could not support this one any more ...

7. That’s something Hassan Nasrallah, Yahya Sinwar, and likely even Iran’s Supreme Leader failed to grasp: Something fundamental changed in Israel after October 7th.

There is now zero tolerance-among both the public and the leadership- for regimes, leaders, or terrorist organizations that speak one the record about destroying Israel, and make actual plans.

The prevailing consensus inside Israel is this: These threats must be confronted directly, and as aggressively as necessary- to ensure that nothing like October 7th, or anything worse, ever happens again. Over the past year, the IDF Intelligence Branch, the Israeli Air Force, and the Operations Division of the General Staff worked together to build a complete picture of Iran’s nuclear program.

Conclusion:

10. Now comes the strategic phase. It’s obvious that the U.S. and Israel are playing **good cop, bad cop** with Iran. Israel strikes. Meanwhile, President Trump says, “I’m ready to sign a deal.”

It’s the same model Israel proposed regarding Hezbollah: The U.S. pushed for a deal *before* the war. Israel said - let us first weaken their capabilities. Then we can talk. Now, Israel is using the same logic with Iran. All wars end. This one will too.

And the thinking in Jerusalem is: if we can cripple Iran’s capabilities first - and then negotiate - that’s the optimal outcome. But for that to happen, the U.S. must stay in the game. It must maintain leverage - either by escalating directly or by continuing to enable and defend Israel’s actions against Iran.

The way this ends matters most – not the first strike. The Islamic Republic fought the Iran-Iraq war for 8 years, and stopped only when its leader, Khumeini, decided its essential for the future of the regime.

If this is to have long-term meaning for the Middle East - if it’s to restore security and stability - then it must also ensure that Iran doesn’t use this war as cover to break out for a nuclear weapon.

No senior Israeli intelligence or military figure believes Iran is incapable of doing so -even in the face of overwhelming Israeli success. What Israel has begun can only be successfully brought to an end by the United States.

From the Babylon Bee O0

Libertarian Torn Between Investing In Shiny Rocks Or Magic Computer Coins

https://babylonbee.com/news/libertarian ... uter-coins
“It's only a matter of days or weeks or months or years or decades," he said. "Everything our government's Keynesian economic house of cards is built upon has to come crashing down, and when it does, the man who has shiny rocks — or magic computer coins — will be king."

But providentially will not rain on the Washington D.C. waste of money parade?
