His proposed tax increases definitely won't play well:

It includes a new "premium" tax of 2.2%, plus additional tax brackets going up to > 50%, plus an end to lower capital gains tax rates (actually not completely clear whether lower tax brackets would be affected).

Medicare for all is not going to be cheap, especially in combination with amnesty for 12 million illegal immigrants plus the additional ones who will start flooding in here as a result of the two policies.  Perhaps this is a worthwhile move, but it will be a very, very difficult sell.

I agree - the biggest problem with Sanders is that even if one agrees with his proposals, he doesn't have a good answer about how to fund them.

Immigration is a thorny issue, and I don't want to get into a contentious debate about it, but I do want to point out that we live in a country with +300 million people, so even a large number like 12 million is a small fraction of the overall population - 4%, I believe.  I think that's a good thing to keep in mind when evaluating the impact of illegal residents here.
