[cough cough] I think we are perhaps straying a bit from the spirit of the post.

Sorry about that, Ad O! I tried to bring it back to the spirit of your post but the conversations in this section of the forum seem to evolve like conversations at a party where one thought leads to another. At some point someone might wonder aloud "How the hell did we get to talking about Muslims & porn?" People might then go back and try to reconstruct the turning point(s) in the conversation, but they'd probably then jump to something else equally unrelated.

That's hilarious. I also think it's completely true. The rulers in that part of the world control women because controlling women controls men, and controlling men controls the violence production infrastructure of society, and hence society itself. If women were free to participate in society, and men were free to have socially-acceptable sex with empowered women more often, then boom, all of the sudden the mullahs wouldn't be able to control the men the way they do now by withholding and doling out women and holding the promise of same over their heads.

That would be fine for the men that the empowered women want to have sex with, i.e., about the top 20% of men (in attractiveness to women).

The other men would be left out.

Sort of like what happens now to most men in their 20's, in the US.
