Jurassic Park might have been a little too real for a nine year old.
+1. I was 9 as well.

Interestingly, I somehow convinced my dad to let me bring my 6 year old sister for her birthday gift.

She fell asleep during it.

I saw a Hellraiser movie at way too young an age.

Probably responsible for half the bat-shit crazy stuff rolling around in my head today.

I don't recall any movies messing with my head so much but maybe because enough real life things messed with my head as an adult that they now pale in comparison.

I do recall my parents taking us to the drive-in where "The Behemoth" was playing and taking my younger sisters along who were only toddlers at the time. My youngest sister couldn't sleep alone at night for years after that. She has had mental problems as an adult also but it would probably be a stretch to blame it all on that movie.

The Elephant Man

Lots of good entries lately.

- Deep Throat (my father had an illegal VHS recording of it... on the same tape he had an illegal recording of Star Wars, on.  Pretty f--ed up looking back on it now that they would let me and my 11 year-old buddies watch Star Wars unsupervised and "not remember" what was next on the same goddamn tape?? WTF???)  I'd imagine that kind of thing would land somebody in jail, today?
And I keep forgetting to say the above is my single favorite entry. Hilarious! Disgraceful behavior on the part of your dad, but hilarious!

The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes

Cheesy, yes, but I think I was 5 or 6 when I saw it on television.

I saw the first Child's Play movie at way too young an age.  There's a scene where someone gets into the driver's seat of a car and Chucky jumps out from the back seat and suffocates him with a plastic bag.  To this day I still sometimes look behind me before starting the car just to make sure no one is there!

Also, the first 10 min of Scream, and probably Steven King's It and The Last Stand.

There are several films called The Last Stand, but I take it you mean 'The Stand', another Stephen King creation.
Creepy book, The Stand.

+1 (I was six)
